Scottsdale's Kitchen Makeover Magic: How One Family Found Their Flow

Organizer Spotlight: Emmaley Otis

When a Scottsdale family of four (plus their dog) moved into their new 4-bed, 4-bath home in Silverleaf, they faced an unexpected challenge. Their spacious kitchen and pantry, while beautiful, left them unsure about how to set things up efficiently.

Enter Emmaley Otis and the NEAT Method Scottsdale team, who specialize in turning chaotic spaces into functional ones. "The clients had a lovely kitchen and pantry," Emmaley explains, "but they were having trouble deciding how to make the best use of the space."

Creating a Functional Flow
Emmaley and her team got to work, focusing on creating intuitive zones throughout the kitchen and pantry. They set up areas for breakfast, dinner, snacks, and baking in the pantry. In the main kitchen, they established a smoothie station, coffee corner, and zones for prep and plating.

"We wanted to make it easy for the family to find what they needed without searching," Emmaley says. This approach turned the kitchen into a more efficient space, where everything has its place.

Tackling the Space Challenge
Interestingly, having extra space presented its own set of challenges. "A large space can sometimes be difficult to organize effectively," Emmaley notes. "It's important to create defined areas to make the kitchen feel functional."

To solve this, the organizing team worked through several layout options, consulting with the family to ensure the final plan suited their daily routines. This collaborative approach ensured that the new organization system would be both practical and long-lasting.

Family Favorites and Key Products
The family particularly enjoyed the new smoothie and coffee stations. "These areas allow our clients to perform daily tasks efficiently," Emmaley explains. The stations streamline morning routines, making breakfast time smoother for everyone.

When asked about products that made a significant impact, Emmaley highlights the Acacia Drawer Inserts and Dividers. "These were perfect for the large, deep drawers," she says. The inserts helped maximize storage and keep items neatly organized.

A Successful Transformation
After 10 hours of work with two organizers, the kitchen and pantry were transformed. The family now enjoys a space that's not only visually appealing but also streamlined and functional.
